Get your PADI scuba certification. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.
What You Learn
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
This online course develops your familiarity with basic principles and procedures. You learn things like how pressure affects your body, what to consider when dive planning and how to choose the best gear. You complete each of the sections of the PADI E-Learning on your own with a fun and interactive online learning program. At the completion of all of the diving theory there is a brief review to be completed together and then a short quiz. The final exam will ensure all the key concepts and ideas are understood.
This is what its all about - diving. You develop your scuba skills in a pool and before you know it you'll be gliding through the waters with ease. Here you'll learn everything from setting up your gear to removing water from your mask underwater. There are five hours of diving in confined water, with each hour building your skills to prepare for the ocean.
After you have completed the confined water portion of the course the real fun begins! This is where you have fun putting it all together and fully experience the underwater adventure - at the beginner level, of course. You'll never forget the first time you dive in the ocean!!
After completion of four fun underwater dives you are fully certified!
The Fun Part
The fun part about this course is . . . well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you’ll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you’ll spend at least five hours in the pool and enjoy four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
